lizard returnsahh......lizard returns on the back of a red pick-up truck full of fish bait and roses just to cover up the smell thinking it might be galveston by the sea but knowing it's the shoreline of gary indiana where the vacant warehouses once stood full of rusted steel belt dreams,
ahh.........lizard is home again defying gravity and the old wives tale of ' you can never go home again'.
and the last time I spoke to lizard talking on the phone, she was telling me how the government went belly up on her and she was giving up smoking because she couldn't bare to take food from her baby's mouth and blow smoke rings at the same time - and someone's still sucking on that bottle....and telling lies and I wonder how far that went before the barry jones stepped in to buy another pack of marlboro menthol lights.
and I hear the high sheriff is still domineering the role of who's who in the northern suburbs of some big city, riding high on all the attention given to someone, hanging diplomas on the wall,
Her CatalystAs she walks through the maelstrom, the words trace upon the tips of her fingers and press into the stone. Every brick, every crack in the concrete, every crossed and angular stroke in reds and blacks and oranges. The drips of the gasoline pool around the base of her boots, slosh as she steps over the burst pipes and the rubble.
So much rubble. So little outcry. The silence of the city grates on her eardrums and the mantras she'd been forced to memorize. The Seers demanded they observe thirteen years of recitation before they attempt to weave their first World together.
But who other than the Seers can claim the incantations that knot the skeins they twist and pull on like reins hold fast? When have any of the Sisters recorded the visions they traced upon space-time and recited them, left them open for critique and discussion and debate?
